Every Day In May: Day 21 - my project!

In this post you'll see one of the many projects I did today. I'm pretty proud of it and I'm going to brag on myself even though this is a simple job.
Usually, it's courteous to show the finish project first, but eh - lol. Sorry, maybe on my next project. I'm also sorry about the iPhone 6+ quality photos.

This week has been all about a lot of different projects for the house so the new home buyers will be content with buying it. The past two or three days, we've been doing minor things to the house. Replacing light switches, outlets, wall plates, and the automatic sprinklers. Well today, while Josh  was at work, I did some work myself since he had a pretty big project when he got home. Since we couldn't find a wall plate in store to fit the toggle switch (pictured above), we just decided to replace the whole thing instead of waiting on an ordered item.

Here we have the breaker box. Josh or his mom would turn each breaker one by one until we found the one that would turn off the bathroom light. Once we found the breaker, we would label and go on with the project. Please do not work on electrical stuff without turning off the power to it! You'll get shocked. It's not any fun, trust me.

Sorry for the fat hands, but this is pretty much a useless photo I sent letting Josh know I didn't die while taking out the light switch. Go me!!

And then I had to send him this picture to let him know that the wires that were plugged into the previous light switch were black, black, black and red when it's suppose to be white, black, white, and black. (and sometimes a copper ground wire, but the box was grounded and so we didn't have to do it!)

Yay! I wired it all by myself!

But oops! I had to redo this twice. The third time is a charm, right? The first time I turned the breaker on with the light toggle switch on - the light turned on! Yay! Success. Okay, but I was probably 20 feet away and was just looking for the light when I turned the breaker back on. When I went to go get my tools from the room, the fan was on, too. The fans toggle switch is on the bottom and it definitely was not on.
The second time I rewired it, the fan would turn on when the proper switch was turned on but the light would not go off no matter what (unless I turned off the breaker). Even with the light switch toggle off - the light stayed on. We couldn't have that.

So, after I redid the wiring for the last time, I turned on the breaker and hoped for the best! And ta-da!

It's completed! The light comes on with the light switch toggle and then fan turned on with the fan toggle. Neither stayed on if the toggle was off and neither were both on unless both toggles were on.

This was a pretty cool project for me. When I was in the ninth grade, I took a class that taught us how to hook up electrical stuff and ground them and make them work. I probably should have remembered a lot more from that class since I liked it so much, right? Well, after watching Josh do it 100 times for 100 different outlets and switches, I was pretty confident that I remembered all that I had learned in my class with the refreshment that I received from him.

After I did the light switch, I changed standard outlets to GFCI (ground-fault circuit interrupter) outlets and then put new covers on them. That was a pretty fun project since it rained for almost half of them today and they were all outside. *sarcasm* I just hope that we didn't do this for shits and giggles and that they actually finish with the closing. Only time will tell.

What is your kind of favorite project to do?

Every Day In May: Day 20 - An Average Day Of Work (For Josh).

But written by Chrysta.

Josh usually wakes up anywhere around 5 to 6 AM depending on the day he has ahead of him. When he wakes up, he's off to do bathroom duties. After his bathroom duties, he gathers all of the things he has to take to work with him (phones, keys, wallet, sunglasses) and sets them on the side of the bed and then he gets dressed for the day. After he kisses Raleigh and me goodbye, he's off to work.

His commute to work is anywhere from 45 to 50 minutes depending on traffic and what lights he catches. When he arrives at work, he disarms the alarm, clock in, grabs the paperwork and the handheld, and from there he decides what he's going to load on the truck for delivery. His occupation is a delivery route driver, he delivers ICEE's. If you don't know what ICEE's are, they are a frozen carbonated beverage. You may know them as Artic Blasts, Frostee, or something of the sort.

After he's figured out what he needs to load on the truck, he then grabs the forklift and loads what needs to be loaded. Right now, he's training a new guy, so they've been working together on loading the truck. After the truck is loaded, they are off to their route. The average route has about 12 stops on it. His shortest route has 7 stops and his longest route has 22 stops.

When is at a stop, he pulls the paper work for that specific stop, goes into the store, greets the person in the front and then he's on the way to the back. When he's in the back, he's calculates how much of what they need to have and then him and his coworker is back to the truck to load the merchandise onto the dolly. He checks in with the person in the front and they make sure he has what's on the list. They sign the handheld, get a receipt from a portable printer, and then Josh and his coworker is off to stock it.

After they're done stocking it, they talk the dolly, handheld, and printer back to the truck and they're off to the next stop. They do this as many times as they have stops and then they're on their way back to the stop. When they arrive at the stop, the paper work has to be done. He takes all the receipt, paper work, and money from the stops, puts them in a bag, and he's off to the bank.

After the bank, he's on the way home! When he gets home, we shower, eat, watch tv (sometimes in that order, sometimes not) and then we're off to bed!

Eventful day!

I'm really happy that I have such a hard working man that is willing to work to support us. I love that he makes enough to be able to support Raleigh and me (and my mom, but that's another story) so I can stay at home. I know I've mentioned this in a previous post, but really - I'm so very proud of him. Sometimes, I would really like a job. But I'd want one at night when Raleigh is asleep, but I think about her waking up and wanting me and me not being there. I just want money to blow, really. We already know that we can live plus some on Josh's income, so my income would 100% be for whatever we wanted that we may or may not have actually "needed." I just don't know if that outweighs Raleigh needing me at night. If I don't get a job before Raleigh starts school, then I'm definitely going to have one then. I'll just have to find a job that will be flexible enough for me to take off work if Raleigh is ever sick, I know it will happen.

Every Day In May: Day 19 - Last Minute Plans.

It hasn't always been a pet peeve of mine. I use to just let it blow over and go with the flow. Things are different now. I didn't have anything else to do back then, but now that I have my own family and do make my own plans, it's turned into a huge annoyance.

My family has always been the type of people who are always making last minute plans. For example, saying "Hey! We're all going here for so-and-so's birthday at 6!" and it's already 4. That can only work so many times and it has definitely had it's run.

I can't really complain too much because I am guilty of this myself, but it's really on opportunities that wouldn't come again or come for a while.

It was only surprising as heck that Mother's Day plans were made two days before Mother's Day. I mean, that's how last minute-y we are - I got excited over two days beforehand planning!

What's one of your biggest pet peeves?

Every Day In May: Day 18 - starting new.

Yes, this blog is new, but I need a new-new.
To be honest, I'm disappointed in this blog. It's not what I've envisioned it to be, but I also took it on the way I wanted it. It was just something that I updated because I felt like I had to.

Well, I'm going to get a domain. (I know, I've been saying that forever and I have yet to do it.) I think with my domain, I'm going to start new. I'm not going to import my posts to the domain. I'm not going to feel like I HAVE TO post. This blog sucks. It's not organized. It's just random. And ever since I could get the right codes to work, I've been mad at it. Yes, mad at a website because it wouldn't do what I wanted it to do. When I get a domain, I'm going to have a lot more freedom. I'm going to be freeeeeeeee.

I'm going back and forth on what I want my URL to be. I don't now if I want buckdoeandfawns.com although it means a lot to me. It just seems so long and not very "URL-y." BUT, I have NO IDEA what I would want my URL to be. I'm very indecisive. It's just very - eh. Well I don't know what to do, only time will tell.

Every Day In May: Day 17 - An Average Day In The Life Of...

I'm not even too sure that I can call any day in the life of a mom "average."
On more times than I would like to actually admit, I get frustrated. Being a mom, a stay at home mom at that, isn't all candy and lollipops. Raleigh is growing up and learning how to be mischievous and sneaky. She knows the word "no" and she acknowledges it and then does what she was told not to. She'll crawl away and turn over while I'm changing her diaper. She fights sleep like nobody's business. (Don't you just wish that they would know that if they laid down and went to sleep - they wouldn't be grumpy anymore?!)
Now don't get me wrong, I love being a stay at home mom. It does get frustrating and I do get stressed, but I love it. I am incredibly thankful and happy that my husband is willing to work hard to take care of us. I love being able to raise my daughter and not leaving her at a daycare or something of the sort. If you didn't know this before, being a mom doesn't guarantee 100% happiness. You will get angry, you will get stressed, you will get mad, but you'll also be in love the most you've ever been.

To put it in simple words... an average day goes a little like this...

Raleigh and I officially get out of bed around 10 to 11 in the morning. She usually either wakes up when Josh's alarm goes off, or around 7 in the morning. She takes a bottle, and she goes back to sleep easily. I have to get relaxed a little bit before I can go back to bed, but I usually go to sleep within the hour. After she wakes up for the second time, I turn on the TV and drop her off in the living and I go use the bathroom.

My bad mom moment, when I come back from the bathroom is usually when I change her diaper. I'm sorry, (not really) but I'm not able to bend over to change her diaper on the floor when I have a full bladder. After the diaper change, she's off to play with her toys while I check my oh-so-addicting social media. She used to do that for about two hours and then be ready for a nap, but as she's been growing - she stays up longer. Getting her to actually fall asleep when she's sleepy and grumpy is a whole other story. Sometimes it's a nightmare. I will either eat, work out, or nap with her. When she wakes up from her nap, I usually feed her some actual food. After she eats, we play on the floor and wait for Dad to come home. From there, we usually shower, eat or go out for food, watch TV, put Raleigh to bed anywhere around 9 to 10 in at night and then it's bedtime for us!

It's a pretty simple, average day that I wouldn't change for the world.

Every Day In May: Day 16 - picky.

Google Search: how do you go on a diet when you're a picky eater?

When I look up meal plans, I really get nothing but disgusted. For example, for breakfast it will suggest half a grapefruit or such and I am just not a fan of grapefruit and not willing to push through it for a meal plan. Same with oatmeal - I gag just thinking about the texture. Tilapia, hummus, greek yogurt, salmon, beans, sweet potatoes, figs, dark chocolate. These are all things that I've seen on a meal plan that just make my stomach turn.

Having a family that doesn't want to eat healthy doesn't help either. I do want to eat healthy, but my husband isn't such a fan of it. When we should be going to the store to get fruits and vegetables, we go and actually get ice cream and frozen meals - if we even go grocery shopping at all! 99% of the time we go out to eat and it's usually Taco Bell.

Never being home doesn't help either. By now, I'm really just trying to make excuses. But when I'm out and about, there's not a lot of healthy options to eat. I mean, sure! I can go to McDonald's and get a salad, but they're about 5 times as much as a little burger is. When it's not my money I'm dealing with, it's not as easy to spend. As you may know, I am a stay at home mom and my husband proudly supports us. I believe that the money in the bank is his, therefore, I want to spend it as little as I can.

Excuse #328745 - I'm going to put the blame on my daughter. Okay, not really, but I tried. When it comes to Raleigh, I come in second. I tend to her needs first which means I have little time to myself. So when she naps, that's when I stuff my face without whatever is quick and easy. I don't think about the health reasons. That's the excuse I'll give to not getting any exercise done, too.

I'm getting more and more determined day by day. Eventually, it's going to get my motivated.

What food disgusts you? What healthy meal is your go-to?

Every Day In May: Day 15 - Gopro.

Or is it GoPro? Or even Go Pro? To be honest, I don't know, but I'm currently obsessed with them. I'm really wanting to get one from the move up to Washington and do a cliche time-lapse video. We're not going to drop money on it until we know for sure that we are moving though. The buyers still have time to back out if they wanted to.

We're debating on what one to get, but it's probably going to be a GoPro Hero 3. We're not wanting the latest out, but we want one new enough that will do a good quality video. I'm still researching and watching YouTube videos comparing the latest and that will probably determine what one we will go with.

Do you have a gopro? What one do you have? What do you usually use it for?

Every Day In May: Day 14 - Hula Hooping.

Holy crap! I'm almost halfway through this month and have at least posted something everyday. It hasn't been the best content or even really anything at all besides me (or Raleigh) hitting the keyboard. I'll say it until I'm done, it feels like I'm forcing myself to put out content which means, to me, it doesn't feel real. Oh well, I'll push through this month and maybe make a schedule for next months so it can feel somewhat original and well thought out unlike this month.

So, I got a hula hoop some odd time ago. It's a 3 pound fitness hoop from Academy. I hula hooped for a whooping 5 or so days and then I quit. I knew I would. I didn't want to, but I let myself anyways. In those five days, I already saw change in myself and I STILL let myself quit. I'm honestly quite disappointed in myself.

Well, I've started hula hooping again and going two days strong! I'm 40% of the way that the first time was! I feel like it's much easier to exercise when Josh gets home at the end of the day. That way he can watch Raleigh and I won't have an undetermined time while she is sleeping to get what I want to get done. Usually Raleigh and I wake up around 7 to 8 AM, I make her a bottle, and she goes back to sleep and I usually go back to sleep within the hour that she wakes up. I was thinking about working out then, but let's face it - I'm lazy and unmotivated. I figured it's better to get the exercise done in the morning so it can start your body's metabolism for the day, but I really have no idea what I'm talking about. It's probably something my friend, Google, and I will talk about later.

I have a month to get to my ideal look and I need to get it through my thick skull that it's not going to happen that way. I've weighed myself and it's definitely the biggest I have ever been. Ever. Ever. Ever. I'm disgusted in myself. As much as it may seem, I'm actually not even worried about the end number, though. I want it to be about me being comfortable with how I look. It's something I really want and I don't know why I can't stay motivated to do it! Hula hooping has been an easy entry way to a full force exercise, but we'll get to that later. Only time will tell if I stick to it.

Do y'all have any exercise regiments that y'all stick to? What do you do to stay motivated?

Every Day In May: Day 13 - feelin' it.

I'm definitely feeling the stress of moving right now and it's not even going to happen for about a month. I feel like I'm leaving everyone without notifying them even though they all know. Finding a job up there when I know nothing about up North is really stressing me out as well. I would really like to find an evening job that would support my family without Josh having to work. If I would an evening to night shift job - I'd be able to spend the days with Raleigh and Josh, but I don't know how I would take not saying goodnight to Raleigh every night.

We're going to be staying with my sister in law until we can find a place of our own. It's basically Josh's parents, their offspring, and their significant other all living in one house. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like. To be honest, I really didn't even want to meet anyone 'new' for the first couple of days I would be there. I was really on counting on that alone time to gather my feelings and try not to be depressed.

I don't know what to think about it. This is all very new to me. Only time will tell.

Every Day In May: Day 12 - Van, Texas.

On the night of Mother's Day, a small East Texas town called Van experienced an EF-3 tornado. All of the surrounding cities, including us, all had the warnings. I'm sure most, if not everyone, was watching the news. We all heard the same thing. We all heard to take cover in a windowless room "just in case".

The past couple of weeks have been hell on my city and the others around it. It seems like nonstop rain, nonstop tornado warnings, nonstop power outages, and just nonstop hell. It has been about 5 day sequence of storms and tornado warnings. The rain still isn't over. We have the weather forecast predicting thunderstorms until the end of this week, but how much more can we exactly take? We have homes that are non-existent, we have roads that have washed away, we have loved ones that have past away all because of this shitty weather. I can very easily say "I'm glad to be leaving here." Other's are less fortunate and have to leave here because their town was ripped apart. Even when I leave here, it's not going to take the worry away that I have for my family and friends that stay here.

It's really scary how close to home this tornado hit. It's one of those things that we think about and we say "oh, it wouldn't happen to us." We didn't even take precautions because that's how strongly we felt about "it wouldn't happen to us." And while it didn't happen to me personally, it happened to our neighboring city and a lot of the people I know are personally affected by this. To be honest, I feel like I can't even be sad about it, but for some reason I am. I'm not trying to put my sadness over the ones that live in Van or the ones that lost someone because of this tornado. They have much more reason to be sad. They lost their homes, their jobs, their cars, their loved ones.

I'm donating a lot of Raleigh's things that I was going to sell to have some more moving money. They need it much more than I do. They don't have anything and they don't have a way to get anything else like Josh and I do. It's the most I can do and it still doesn't feel like enough.

I can't really say Pray for Van like everyone else has, but I will say that my deepest thoughts are with those in, around, and affected by Van. I'm going to do what I can and I hope that everyone else can do what they can to help those in need. I've never seen my town as caring as I have seen them the past couple of days. Maybe some people do have a heart.

Every Day In May: Day 11 - Lazy Post.

I'm officially moving to Washington.
Have you ever made a huge move? I've never been out of Texas. What should I expect?

Every Day In May: Day 10 - Mother's Day!

While I'm here praising all the Mom's in my life, I can't get into the "holiday." I can't get over the fact that a lot of people treat it as a competition, kind of like Valentine's Day.

One of my biggest pet peeves is the phrase "My Mom is better than your mom." Or really "my ANYTHING is better than your ANYTHING." I know it's an innocent phrase but I'm just not into it. Like even if they were being serious, there's no way that the person who said it knows EVERY ONE'S MOM in the world to make that judgement.
Another phrase I don't like is "My mom (or something) is the most perfect Mom (/something) in the world." Okay, like maybe to them they are, but again, they don't know every mom in the world to make that judgement. I know it's really lame and it's me being bother over things that I shouldn't care about, but it really just irks me.

To the competition part, it's like "I took my mom out to dinner," "oh I got my mom/my grandma/my wife/my anything a diamond necklace," "oh well I got mine a car," "oh I bought mine a mansion," etc. It's like no one can be happy for someone and they're just always trying to one-up them.
Not everyone can do a lot for someone. Not everyone can afford something extravagant for someone they're trying to give gifts to. Someone may be able to offer their presence while someone else would be able to afford that car. Some don't even have a mom to give to. Neither one of those people should be belittled because of what they can or can't give.

If you're on good terms with your mom, you should appreciate her any day of the year, not just Mother's Day. Same for Valentine's Day - you should appreciate your significant other every day of the year. Same with Father's Day, your anniversary, any kind of specific day for you and an other in your life.

This is my first Mother's Day where I have my baby out of the womb and I'm really going to try and soak it up and not think of the negative. I hope y'all can do the same. Shower your mom, your mom-like figure, your grandmother, your aunt, your baby's mom, your friend's mom, anyone and everyone with love. Not only today but every day.

Every Day In May: Day 9 - Washington Update.

The house got an offer and we're currently waiting on seeing if they're going to accept our counter offer. It's all very excited and nerve wrecking at the same time.
I'm feeling really heartbroken because my twin doesn't want me to leave but I don't really want to stay here. It would be really awesome to get out and be able to explore.
My mom (in law) doesn't think that I'll like it up there. She thinks that I'll like the surroundings and everything, but she believes that I will fall into depression because I'll be too sad leaving everyone. We shall see. Only time will tell.

Every Day In May: Day 8 - oops.

So I guess everyone else has plans for day-by-day in May blog posts but I've kinda just been going with the flow and whatever popped up in my mind that day or night is what I wrote about.
Makes it a little bit stressful and, like said in the last post, forced.

My Uncle B (by marriage) is leaving Texas tomorrow morning and going back home to Washington. We spent some time over at my in laws today. Not only to see him, but to see my mom in law because her birthday is today. But going over there is no big deal because I go over there at least 3 days a week just to hang out.

I found some things out today that I really didn't want to hear but have always thought about. I'm going to be really vague about it right now because I need to let it process before I type it out for everyone to see. Maybe if I read about this years and years later and I never put it out for people to see, I'll remember what I'm thinking about right now.

This Texas weather is getting killer. You would think that the 22 plus a little years that I've been living here I would be use to it by now. The humidity is going to be the death of me. For a girl like me with crazy natural hair, that means I can never do my hair because it will just be one huge ball of frizz. We will see what the Texas weather has plans for us. Only time will tell. How has your day been?

Every Day In May: Day 7 - To Be Honest.

Doing at least a blog post a day just seems like I'm forcing it. I'm trying too hard to make a good post that I think people will enjoy. When I do that, it just seems kind of fake to me. I'm trying to hard really and the pressure is getting the best of me.

I wouldn't feel like I was forcing it so much if I had actual content but I'm waiting for a domain to do that really and that's not going to come right away due to circumstances.

But I want you to know that I'm really trying to keep up and be as good as all of your posts are.

Every Day In May: Day 6 - Raleigh's Post.

This is my post for today because my mind is completely blank. :)

Every Day In May: Day 5 - Transformation Tuesday.

What better way to do a transformation than by doing it from the very first picture ever taken of me? *note that it says '82 when I was born in '92. The obviously didn't care about mistakes back then.*
My mom was due on the 4th, had her first and only ultrasound on the third (pictured above) and found out she was having twins that day. SHE WAS DUE THE NEXT DAY! How crazy would that be??

That little baby in the belly turned into this ugly creature here. Haha, joking, kinda. My sister threw a lego at me which is why I have what I have on my nose. What a loving family we were! Look at the CURLY hair. It looks like my daughter's is going to be pretty close to this color and style.

I can't turn this photo. I mean, I could, but that would involve work. Just turn your heads. Cherish this photo, they get uglier as we go on.

This is my former wombmate and I. We were six? Maybe? She has always been my best friend and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This was our seventh birthday with the oh-so-popular-at-the-time barbie cakes.

And now we are going to have a big ten plus year gap. Oops! Maybe I'll find pictures of the moments in between eventually! Until then, this will have to do.

These last two were around the time I was feeling my most confident. More the latter. I would really like to go back to how I felt then. I actually *liked* myself.

I warned you! I told you it would get ugly! This is my husband and I during our two year anniversary. This picture was previously posted on here before, but I believe that it's the most recent on I have of myself on the computer.

I would really like to transform myself into a better person. Mentally, physically, emotionally. I want it all. I don't know how with all the 'wants' I have, my motivation is at an all time zero. I get motivation for about three days and then I'm pretty much like "fuck it. nope" and it ends there.

How do y'all keep the motivation? Let me know!

Every Day In May: Day 4 - Embarrassing.

I think we have all had our share of embarrassing moments. Some moments we can laugh about and some of them make us want to crawl in a hole and stay there forever. Here is a couple of my most embarrassing moments - some I laugh about and some that I'd rather just forget.

In no particular order, here is number one:
When I was younger, probably 4 or 5, I was in Sam's Club with my family and I heard a family of Mexican's speaking Spanish. Well, young and naive me thought that they were speaking "cursive" which I then blurted out "Mommy! They're speaking cursive!" I didn't really think anything of it when I was younger, but now it definitely makes me blush.

Number two:
I was at the fair with my now-husband, Josh, and thought it would be a good idea to get on a ride that went front to back and then get on a ride that went side to side immediate after that. Well, as soon as the side to side ride was coming to an end, I PUKED. It got on the people beside me, on my shirt, just absolutely every where. He bought me a new shirt and I kind of just put the rest of it behind me. How likely would it be that I would see the people I puked on again? And if I did, I doubt they would even recognize me. At least I wasn't the only one to do something embarrassing that night. Josh walked STRAIGHT into a mirror after walking into the mirror maze thing. We still talk about both.

Share your embarrassing stories with me!

Every Day In May: Day 3 - Sicky Sickly

Let me start off by saying I never take medicine. Not for headaches, not for ear aches, not for allergies, not for anything except for when I had menstrual cramps. Those cramps were so severe that I couldn't handle them without taking enough pills to knock me out. Luckily, so far after birth, cramping has been more of a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10 instead of 100 on that same scale. WELL, to get to my point, I am having such hell being okay enough to not take medicine with being "sick". I honestly don't know that last time I got sick. I NEVER get sick. Well, I never GOT sick. I guess I can't say that I never get sick anymore because apparently I do.

I mean, I wasn't sick enough to where I wanted to be in bed the whole time. It was more that I was annoyed with how I could breathe out of one nostril, my throat wouldn't stop itching, deep in my sinus' wouldn't stop itching, and I just sounded so weird to myself because of all the congestion I had. I definitely don't like being sick. But really, who does?! So I had 20 different medicines I was taking to try and make myself feel well enough to meet my husbands uncle who flew down from Washington.

So that was fun! I was my typical awkward self where I didn't want to talk to new people because I fear my Texas accent. But he's a really awesome guy and I'm eager to see him again within the next couple of days before he flies back home.

Well, this post may be all over the place because, let's be for real, my mind is not thinking straight. It doesn't feel straight, so maybe you'll get the gist of it. ~~

Every Day In May: Day 2 - Braces!

My Every Day In May: Day 2 post is going to be about me getting my braces off!

I've had them since February 2013 and I got them off yesterday! I feel so different. I wouldn't think that it would be this different, but it definitely is. A habit that I broke while I had my braces on was biting my nails. I was THE WORST at that and with braces there was no way that I could even accomplish that so I'm really hoping that the habit will stay broken.

I got retainer impressions made yesterday and went to go get them fitted today and lo and behold - they didn't fit! Okay, well not fully. The top one didn't "snap" in. The bottom one is fine. They're clear plastic and I'm just not too fond of the feeling of them in my mouth. It's just something that I have to get use to.

I just know, unlike the other things I set myself to do, I have to stay on top of keeping my retainers in! I really don't want to throw the almost $4,000 away! My husband would definitely NOT appreciate that and I wouldn't want to do that to him anyways.

My tip to you is: if you're getting braces, appreciate them! Wear your bands, wear your retainers, do whatever it is the dentist tells you to do in order to take care of your smile!
